About Us

Owned by Dan and Linda Sikorra who are property owners in Fontana Lake Estates and Rockledge, Fontana Realty seeks Dan_SikorraLinda_Sikorrato provide opportunities for others to invest in this magnificent area of the Great Smoky Mountains.
The Sikorra’s grew up in the Midwest and spent time in Florida before moving to North Carolina. Prior to becoming real estate professionals, Dan earned a degree in accounting and held various executive positions. Linda has worked in the medical profession and held various corporate positions in human resources, product development & real estate. Both Dan and Linda refined their knowledge and skills in real estate in Charlotte, NC.  Linda is 2015 President for our Local Board of Realtors.

Our eyes were opened so when the opportunity availed itself, we moved to Charlotte NC, to be closer to the Smokies. We took every opportunity to vacation in Bryson City, a fun and vibrant town where we could enjoy all the surrounding outdoor activities. Our love for the land deepened as we hiked or ran trails through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park appreciating the beautiful wildlife and enjoying the hundreds of miles of mountain streams. When we wanted more action, we threw our mountain bikes in the boat and motored over to Tsali Recreation Area for some single track action. What a way to travel – the boat ride on Fontana Lake covers some of the most pristine lake wilderness areas in the southeast and if I was lucky enough to have another person with me we’d water ski on the way back.

We have always loved and dabbled in real estate. We invested in our 1st Fontana Lake property in 1996 and a while later moved to the area full time and opened Fontana Realty. Now we are able to help others share our dream by selling hard to find lake access properties in the area.

Our excitement and love for the area and the people who live here grow deeper over time.  When one finds something very good, in order to truly enjoy it, it must be shared – and that is where we find ourselves today!

Dan and Linda have five grown children and eight grandchildren.

Jerry McKinney, a Swain County native, has been with Fontana Lake Estates since 1997.  Jerry now works as a Jerry_McKinneybroker with Fontana Realty. Diane Jones, Diane Jones grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, moving to Florida to be near her grandmother as a single mom in Diane_Jonesthe mid-80’s.  She worked as an insurance agent full time while completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of South Florida.  She received her real estate license in Florida in the mid-90’s and became an agent full time in 2001.  Diane studied for and received her GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute) in Florida to hone her skills and learn the intricacies of buying and selling property.  She and her husband, Jeff, had great success at buying and renovating multifamily rental properties on Fort Myers Beach.

After vacationing in the Smoky Mountains for years, Diane and Jeff moved to Western North Carolina 10 years ago.  They started buying land and Jeff bought excavating equipment to develop it.  Diane earned her realtor and broker licenses, working as an independent broker selling lots in their developments, Sawmill Springs and Rocky Face Mountain.  They also built and sold log homes in the area.

When asked to join the team at Fontana Realty, Diane jumped at the opportunity.  Diane’s area of expertise is in guiding clients through the entire process of buying land, developing it and building their Smoky Mountain dream home.  Her love of the mountains makes her an excellent guide.  Call Diane to see any properties in the area.

Tim Goodwin, Tim Goodwin works double duty as a broker here at Fontana Realty and also as the owner of Watershed Tim_GoodwinCabins, the premier vacation rental agency in the area.  As such, he tends to focus on investment properties and luxury cabins suitable for the rental market of Watershed Cabins.  He has over 12 years of experience with upscale rentals in the area and is the ‘resident expert’ when it comes to buyers looking to put their investment in a rental program.  When not renting cabins or selling real estate, Tim can be found at home in Atlanta or vacationing on the beach in Mexico.
